New Online Writer's BLOG is proud to announce the details about our Quarterly Writing Contest.

Contest participation is open strictly to our customer/trainees who can provide "proof of purchase" for their copy of the 

New Online Writers Training Video & Tutorial.

CONTEST THEME:  Write Under Pressure

“WRITE UNDER PRESSURE” Theme can be based on A or B below.

A)  The article, story, or personal experience can focus on the challenge of trying to write, under difficult or very stressful circumstances. 

NOTE: Entries that focus on this particular aspect of the theme, should meet the criteria of being informative, motivational, and entertaining to the audience of fellow writers.

B) The article, story, or personal experience can focus on the concept of using writing, as a form of coping with all types of pressure, which have nothing to do with writing.

NOTE: Entries that focus on this particular aspect of the theme, should meet the criteria of being sincere, inspirational, and entertaining to the audience of fellow writers.

To give you an idea of what we mean, notice how a sample topic and title like:  Writing In the Midst of the COVID-19 Pandemic would allow a writer to take either of the above approaches (A or B), and create a really good contest entry.

CONTEST DATES:  

SUBMIT ENTRIES  :  January 15th thru March 1st [12pm PST].

VOTING/JUDGING:  March 2nd thru April 16th [12pm PST].

WINNERS POSTEDApril 19th [12pm PST] - Cash Awards dispersed.

Don't worry, there's still plenty of time for you to figure out what to write and submit to us for the 1st Quarterly Writing Contest.

CONTEST ENTRY FEE

 

EARLY ENTRY

When you enter early, we'll add your name to the list of upcoming entries. You'll still have all the way up until March1st to provide us with your submission, but why not take advantage of the extra time?

Maybe you'd rather get to know your readers first. If so, just start writing for us. Submit a few articles or stories for us to publish here on the blog.  See who's out there listening to us, and what exactly they enjoy reading. Then you'll be ready to send us your contest submission.

 

Additional Contest Details

  •     Submissions must be 1,500 words Min. - 2,000 Max.
  •     Submissions must be in English
  •     Submissions may be fiction or non-fiction (personal essays, and experiences okay)
  •     Submissions must be original (not previously published) and written by submitter
  •     Participants retain rights to their submissions.
  •    Participants allow entries published on Blog. No further publishing without approval.
  •    Winners will be selected, based on reader votes AND guest judges determination
